This marsala Cask Finish ledaig is due to be launched shortly and was something that really interested me from the initial arrivial of the sample.
Ledaig is the name given to peated malt from the Tobermory Distillery on Mull.
Tobermory a distillery i tend to enjoy more in it's heavily peated Ledaig form than it's unpeated form and one i've had some odd notes from in the past so interesting to check out some finished in a Fino Sherry cask (yeah I'm not good with Sherry) so this could go one of a number of ways.
This Tobermory 21yr Manzanilla Finish was a dram I was a little terrified of before i sampled it, as i'm not usually keen on Sherry finishes and manzanilla sherry i really didn't like.
Occasionally there's a dram that you get offered as a whisky blogger that just utterly blows your mind and this was one of those occasions.
