Another new cider producer for next this is Henneys and their Vintage Herefordshire Still Cider 2014.
Whisky is definitely the thing I'm most interested in, no matter what form it takes, but I know I also need to broaden my horizons and try other beverages also thus this review.
I asked a lot of other whisky bloggers and twitterati a while back about rye drinks and was told that Rittenhouse was the one to look out for. I tend to prefer sweet to savoury so rye isn't always the thing for me to go for.
This single variety Somerset cider from Thatchers was recommended to me by my good friend Steve (@steveprentice) from Somerset Whisky Blog.
Another fabulous dram from the Bruichladdich Micro Provenance tasting, this cask 229 is from 2003 and was matured in a sherry cask.
Another from the Bruichladdich Micro Provenance tasting this cask 543 is from 2003 and matured entirely in a port cask.
Yet another Bruichladdich Micro Provenance tasting and starting with this cask 013.
The final Essence was Coffee and this added a real Mocha nose and taste to the rum, with Butlers Irish Chocolates Latte Truffles coming through strongly. If you love coffee you will love this, and it makes a great addition to coffee for Cafe Cuban or alternative Irish Coffee.
With this Island Fruit Essence theres real notes of pineapple and coconut added to the rum as it also enhances the raisin, chocolate and tobacco leaf in here, very nice and i think this would make a great addition to a Daiquiri.
This Aromatic Leaf Essence was my favourite of the evening it really did change the whole experience of the Rum for me, adding a really exciting note and taste of Sodastream cola syrup to it, very tasty indeed.
The Honey essence was the first, it was sweet and tasty and i felt it added ore of a caramel note to the nose of the Rum, although it did also remind me a little of Jack Daniels Honey.

Yup another dram that isn't Scotch Whisky, this time another bourbon, it's always good to see what else is out there and I drink enough whisky to be happy sitting sipping on these also for a change.
At the Bruichladdich distillery they always have a cask from which you can bottle your own dram, each cask,chosen by a member of staff, this one having been chosen by Douglas Clyne.

This lovely drink is based on high strength Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla and zesty orange peel.
I loved the Cider with Cranberry from Somersby so this Apple Burst was top of my list to try next.
