There are very few companies out there that could bottle a Blended Malt, admit that the age statement on it is 3 years old, and actually call it that, and then charge over £180 for it! but then this is no ordinary 3 year old blended malt and Compass Box are no ordinary whisky company.
When this sample arrived i thought yum instantly and wanted to get through it quickly but i've just realised it managed to slip through the pile of samples and has now sold out.

When i drink beer, which isn't often, i drink IPA, so when i was offered a sample of a Hopped Cider, i certainly couldn't say no.
When a distillery that closed and reopened finally releases a new whisky there's always a bit of intrepidation and excitement, and both are here for Tamnavulin which reopened in 2007 after a 12 year sleep.

The number of small craft gins on the market has increased to extreme levels in recent years as the Gin boom has rid the drink of it's mothers ruin title and moved to be a fashionable and sought after drink.
Recently i finally managed to make the trip to Glen Moray distillery in Elgin, I took the train, which is a long and arduous journey, and will return again soon by car as train is not a pleasant way to travel that distance.
