Until this Balvenie Doublewood the only Balvenie i'd tried was the Craftsmans Reserve, No1 The Cooper as part of a tasting event a few months back.
That Craftsmans Reserve has however really put Balvenie on my map and i'm hoping to sample my way through a few more of their range in the coming months and years.
This whisky is aged in ex-bourbon casks before being finished in sherry casks and is available at a very reasonable price from the wonderful guys at Master of Malt
