Darnleys View Spiced Gin
Welcome to Day 14 of #GinMonth as I review Darnleys View Spiced Gin.
Created by the extremely talented folks over at Wemyss Malts this is a really interested Gin and not like any other you will find on the market, there's real cumin and coriander seed spicyness with an underlying sweetness.
Now as always for the #Ginmonth i tried straight and with tonic water, but this gin really sings when you use it with ginger ale instead, go on give it a try .
Go try one, pop on over to Master of Malt and pick one up now.
Thanks to the wonderful folks at Wemyss Malts / Darnleys View for the very generous review sample
There are some cracking cocktail videos using Darnleys View on their Youtube channel (click here) which i would highly recommend you try
(straight) a really interesting nose here, not like any other gin i've ever tried, there's a definite spicy nose that reminds me of christmas cake mixed spices with crushed coriander seeds and cumin coming out strongly
(with tonic) the tonic tones this down and brings out cumin seeds really strongly along with fresh coriander.
(straight) spicy for sure with cumin and nutmeg with coriander in here, some juniper and lovely sweet citrus in here also.
(with tonic) sweet and spicy, this really is a cracker, cumin and coriander with lemongrass and juniper
(straight) citrus and coriander.
(with tonic) sweet and sticky, with cumin
