Blackwoods 2012 Vintage Dry Gin
Welcome to Day 5 of #GinMonth as I review Blackwoods 2012 Vintage Dry Gin.
Blackwoods' 2012 vintage gin comes in their zingy new packaging! It is made in the Shetlands using handpicked Shetland botanicals including juniper, angelica, marsh marigold, coriander, meadow sweet and sea pink. Handsome and tasty..
This is very interesting, lots of really fruity citrus notes with hints of spice in this one, really getting into gin more and more and with gin like this it makes it much more fun.
If you feel the same pop on over to Master of Malt and pick one up now.
(straight) lots of citrus peel in here orange and lime definitely and lots of juniper coming in here with a hint of spice in the background.
(with tonic) Super subtle now, touches of citrus peel and key lime pie with a hint of juniper.
(straight) quite sweet citrus peel in here, almost like candied/jellied citrus sweets
(with tonic) candied orange and citrus peel with chocolate limes
(straight) sweet and lovely.
(with tonic) sweet and citrusy.
