SMWS 9.80 A Rocking Chair Dram
It's no secret that I'm totally a fan of the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and the quality drams that they produce so when the opportunity arose to sign up for their Whisky For A Year scheme, a bottle a month for a year, I was so excited to see what would come.
So as part of a group I am sharing this many of my Whisky blogging and tweeting friends being:-
Gal (@galg) from Whisky Israel
Yoav (@yoavgel) from Whisky Gospel
Ben (@ben_cops) from Bens Whisky Blog
Chris (@chrismiles303) from Still Dramming
Jon (@dvdbloke) from Scotch and Sci-fi
Matt (@mattveira) from Guildford Whisky Blog
Adrian (@mynameisgone) from Whisky Chronicle
Ansgar Speller (@ansgarspeller) from Loving Whisky
Thomas Speller (@thomas_speller) from Whisky Speller
We will all be sampling these drams throughout the year so keep an eye on their blogs for more information.
This particular dram is an absolute cracker, as these whisky for a year drams do not feature in the normal out-turn, and this one is one of only 86 bottles, it really is a brilliant start and certainly I for one can't wait to see what else is coming.
oh i love this, it's fresh and full of pine needles with gentle notes of icing sugar coated golden delicious apple slices wrapped in a well looked after leather bound book and a touch of fruit salad, melons especially and a touch of strawberry.
oh fruit and winter spice cake here with lots of woody edges a touch of furniture polish and a smattering of melon balls
light and fruity with a hint of spice
