Wemyss Malts Toasted Hazelnuts

Wemyss Toasted hazelnuts The fifth in a series of Wemyss Malts reviews, this one comes from the April 2013 batch of releases and is Toasted Hazelnuts a 1996 vintage from the Longmorn distillery.

This dram was provided to Livingston Whisky Club by the very kind staff of Wemyss Malts for a tasting and it was very much appreciated and well thought of by all who attended that tasting. The names of the bottles really do represent what is inside the bottle really well and Wemyss Malts need to be congratulated for getting that right.

many thanks once again to Wemyss Malts for their support of Livingston Whisky Club .

The nose starts off very light and fruity with freshly crushed mixed nuts, before becoming a touch more chocolatey and a bit like cadburys fruit and nut.

the palate is very much sweet and fresh with dried fruits, mixed nuts and a dash of nutella chocolate spread

has a real touch of glow to it with a nice kick of spice
