SMWS 123.6 - Rhubarb and custard
My good Twitter friend Adrian (@mynameisgone) knows that i have a bit of a thing at the moment for port finished or casked whiskies and so sent me a wee sample of Scotch Malt Whisky Society 123.6 Rhubarb and custard.
This borderline Highland whisky is 10 Years Old and spent some time in a port pipe and is utterly yummy.
The more i see, and taste port finished whiskies the more i enjoy them, they are probably my favourite finishes at the moment.
raspberry and cranberry jam with added sugar, caramalised demerera sugar and creamy creme brule, plum juice and sweet fruits with a touch of oak wood also.
some plum jam and chalkyness, with oak wood and creamy and caramel, cocoa powder
chalky and fruity with a touch of dark chocolate
