Writers Tears Cask Strength (2018 Release)
Tasted as part of the Walsh Whiskey Tweet Tasting, Writers Tears Copper Pot, a celelbration of the connection in the 18th and 19th century to the great writers of Ireland and the great copper pot whiskey is one of the four tasted.
For a dram that celebrates the connection between the gritty and powerful writing of the 18th/19th century this dram is tame and gentle, but seriously fruity and drinkable.
This is a dram I really enjoy, filled with sweet fruit salad notes with some light dark scones, and some gentle wood notes
Available from Specialists like Master of Malt.
Thanks to The Whisky Wire for organising this Tweet Tasting.
much richer than i was expecting, gentle fresh fruits, galia and honeydew melon, some mango and papaya, rich vanilla sponge cake, caramelised white chocolate buttons, some gentle oak and a touch of window putty hiding in the background.
Tangy with cinnamon sugar and sweet fruity notes, that caramelised white chocolate button note, cinnamon spiced vanilla sponge cake, that honeydew and galia melon is there again, its tasty stuff.
Tangy, fruity, cinammon sugar yum
