Kamiki Japanese Whisky
A blended malt featuring single malts from around the work which is finished in casks made from yoshino-sugi often referred to as Japanese cedar! This dram was tasted as part of a tweet tasting featuring Japanese drams from specialist Dekanta.
this is tasty, really really tasty, i have no idea of the malts used in this but with fruity notes, chalky edinburgh rock, plantaine and dusti dunnage notes and pepper, this is right up my street.
the kind of dram i could happily drink lots of, this is what Japanese (well sort of) whiskies should be like.
The pricing direct from Dekanta can sometimes be excessive especially when import taxes are considered, this is also available from specialists such as Master of Malt for a better price in the UK..

Oh this is interesting, theres a lovely foam banana note up first, that goes more plantain or cooked banana quite quickly after, slightly chalky, almost light edinburgh rock, a hint of dusty room and acetone hiding in the glass also.
