Timorous Beastie 10 Year Old (Douglas Laing)
Posted by Tom
The standard Timorous Beastie is a seriously drinkable dram, so this 10 year Old expression is one that I was really excited to see.
This is seriously tasty, light and “timorous” but spend time with it and it opens up and the complexity shines. This is not a power punch of a dram but it’s one that will reward your efforts.
Pick one up from your local whisky specialist such as
Master of Malt.
Thanks to
Douglas Laing for the official sample.
Really light on the nose, icing/powdered sugar, light pear drop sweets, gentle Galia melon and a light vanilla sugar, light soreen fruit malt loaf.
Light sweet biscuit notes, soreen fruit malt loaf, light vanilla sugar, a little edge of cask char and cinnamon
Cask char, vanilla sugar, cinnamon
