Woods 100 Old Navy Rum
Posted by Tom
Another from the 2017 Drinks By The Dram Rum advent calendar.
Woods Navy Rum is one i had heard of but never tried and a 100 degrees proof (well nearly anyway - come on guys get the other .15% in there) version sounds right up my street.
Almost spiced rum to me, lots of lovely cinnamon and marmalade, lashing of banana loaf and a seriously tasty punchy finish, this is delicious, and when i seen the price it became a no brainer, this really should be in your cupboard at home, all the time.
Available to buy from Master of Malt
Thanks to Drinks By The Dram for the Calendar and as such the sample.
Oh this is inviting, sweet and spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg, almost like a port rich mulled wine, thick treacle and spiced marmalade
Hints of acetone then banana loaf with added treacle, more of that rich thick mulled wine, raw Demerara sugar
Big and punchy and utterly deliciously moreish
