SMWS 37.86 Juicy and Delightful
The second of three reviews today of drams from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society March outturn, this is 37.86 Juicy and Delightful .
Oh my this is confusing my brain, its got that bourbon like vanilla and popcorn spice, then lashing of juicy fruit and freshness, this is a hugely confusing and tasty, utterly interesting and at the same time the bourbon like notes on the nose confuse me.
I like it, a lot, but it still hurts my thought process, it's not an easy dram to,get along with its complex and interesting, and definitely worth trying.

Straight away there's a toasted oak note, that gentle popcorn spicyness that reminds me of bourbon, then an overly sweet sugary note, granulated sugar, a hint of sneeze inducing pepper, dusty or maybe talcum powder, then bitter bramley apple.
Oh that's juicy and mouthwatering, talcum powder again, then apple strudel and bramley apples, stewed apples and juicy fresh fruit salad, vanilla angel delight and a splash of peppery spices,
Vanilla angle delight and fresh fruit salad, apples and cinnamon
