High West American Prairie Reserve
I was lucky enough to be gifted for review a Drinks by the Dram American Whiskey Advent Calendar and this High West American Prairie Reserve is one of the drams from that calendar.
The whiskey itself is a small-batch blend of two straight Bourbons, a 6 year from Seagrams in Lawrenceberg, Indiana and a 10 year old from Four Roses with a higher rye content in the mashbill.
This is tasty stuff, sweet vanilla, syrup and fruity banana fritters and strawberry sponge mix with cask char and spices, really tasty stuff and one to have a bottle of in your collection for sure.

Thanks to Drinks by the Dram for the calendar.
Soft light spices and cask char, very much bourbon like, vanilla is forward with cask char and an underlying sweetness, some banana fritters, without the syrup, almond sponge, really lovely
Sweet, juicy, quite spicy, tangy citrus pith, Cask char, banana fritters, almond and strawberry sponge.
