Paul John 6yr Batch 2 (That Boutiquey Whisky Company)
I've had a fair bit of Indian whisky over the years and seen Paul John once at a festival but i wasn't taking notes that day, so it was interesting to try this one.
lots of sweet honey, and even smoky manuka honey on the palate, with sweet banana fritters and tasty sugary creme brule elements, this is a damn tasty dram and makes me need to spend more time with this distillery.
Available to buy from Master of Malt
Thanks to Maverick Drinks for the official sample.
Runny honey on a buttered English muffin, manuka honey, toffee pennies, sweet dried fruits (apricot and banana), Carib covered raisins, hints of marzipan and bitter star fruit, sugary and brandy snap.
More manuka honey, tasty spices, spiced banana fritters with syrup, spiced fruit scones, marzipan and crime brule topping,
Spicy, almonds, tasty
