The Half Century Blend Batch 1 (The Blended Whisky Company)

Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 6 Released in late 2016 this Half Century Blend, containing whiskies aged over 50 years and is one i was seriously excited about when the sample arrived.

Sweet, fruity and juicy and with an air of elegance, theres typical dunnage warehouse like notes and great wood influence, this is a tasty dram and one that has a real feel of quality about it, for me well worth the £600ish price tag.

Pop over to Master of Malt if this is up your street.

Many thanks to Maverick Drinks for the official sample.

Straight up there's that old dunnage warehouse note, dusty untreated wood, earthy notes, almost smells cold and damp, the fruits, rich and full, raisins and apples, a touch of airfix glue from the grain, plum and blueberry vaping eliquid and a touch of vanilla slice, custard, pastry and icing.

A fruity explosion, tangy mango and star fruit, juicy fruit chewing gum and starburst (opal fruits), really malty a cold ovaltine milkshake, gentle wood spices creep in too.

Quite full on spicy and oak woody notes, juicy fruit chewing gum
