Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 6
Posted by Tom
I've been lucky enough to try the batch 2, batch 3, batch 4 and batch 6 of the Glendronach Cask strength series previously and this batch 6 I was definitely looking forward to.
Always a dram full of flavour this batch I am hoping is no different.
Sweet, icing sugar, vanilla, yummy, then hints of bitter citrus peel and cask char for balance, this is a delicious dram which hides it's ABV really well, if you've never tried a Cask Strength Glendronach yet then you have been missing out and need to get one asap.
Pop over to Master of Malt and snap one of these up now.
Many thanks to Glendronach for the official sample.
Instantly there's bitter citrus peel and pith, lots of sweet vanilla essence and a smattering of cask char, concentrating further gives you marzipan, icing and hints of apricot jam, a touch of 85% and above bitter dark chocolate also, left in the glass some floral notes appear.
Lots of citrus fruit peel and bitter pith orange and lemon especially, vanilla essence and dark chocolate, floral with oak spices and a dash of apricot jam, some BBQd tropical fruits, sweet but bitter.
Growing, powerful, crushed almonds, oak spices, Cask char and vanilla
