Talisker 30 Year Old
I've had a fondness for Talisker for quite some time so when the opportunity arose to share a bottle of 30 year old Talisker I jumped at the chance.
This 30 year old was bottled in 2012 at Taliskers usual 45.8% ABV, and it's damn tasty stuff, lots of salty, peppery smoke and coastal notes and just an air of grace and beauty all around it.
you can grab yourself one from Master of Malt .
What a beautiful nose on this, very coastal up front, hints of peat reek but not overly som brown bread toast (without butter) summer berries with a large portion of blackberries, wet driftwood, vanilla essence in the background.
Juicy and mouthwatering off the bat, salty edible paper, juicy fruit chewing gum with a topping of rock salt, hints of peppered steak on a granite slab, hot stone
Peppery, growing, warming, sublime,
