Bruichladdich 11yr Rioja Cask (Claxtons)
Another new independent bottler! i hear you cry, there's already too many of them producing damn good whisky! but yet here comes another.
Bottled by Claxton's Spirits this Bruichladdich from 2005 spent 11 years in a Rioja Wine Cask and if this is the kind of example we should expect from Claxton's then it's a damn good start.
Caramel, mocha, wine gums and more fruits that you can throw a stick at this is a delicious drop of whisky. It doesn't have that Top 5 drams ever feeling of the last time i had a Bruichladdich in Rioja but it is still damn good.
Watch out for Claxton's Spirits bottlings at your local specialist.
Acetone, caramel latte machiatto, wine gums and lightly toasted coffee beans, earthy, beetroot, beeswax furniture polish and overly toasted wholemeal bread
sweet jelly fruits, wine gums, york fruits, melted jelly babies, and furniture polish, whole juicy figs
huge hit that comes back and grows into spice.
