Knockdhu 6yr Strictly Limited (Morrison & Mackay)
When there's a reasonably priced dram of whisky and it's young (6 years old) many people will turn their nose up at it but the Strictly Limited range from Carn Mor, Provenance range from Douglas Laing and Hepburns Choice range from Hunter Laing are showing that young whiskies can be damn tasty.
This 6 year old Knockdhu (anCnoc) from the range is priced up to around the £40 ish mark and the colour makes you think you've had one or six too many beers, but, its a great dram.
Full of fresh fruits and chalky fruit skins, this is a tasty dram that deserves to be picked up and enjoyed.
Still available from the guys at Jeffrey St Whisky & Cigars.
sweet chalky fruit skins, gentle spiced coating, fruit salad sweets, candied fruits, vanilla infused sugar, spices, cask char emerges as the whisky rests in the glass
sweet and tangy, candied fruits (citrus) tangy fanta and sweet juicy fruits, fizzy sherbert mouthfeel
sweet and gentle but a fizzy kick
