SMWS 33.132 Beauty and the Beast
There's always some interesting drams released by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in December every year and this 33.132 Beauty and the Beast is no different, an 8yr old islay single cask this is definitely an interesting dram.
It's not often a single cask from distillery 33 appears either from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society or any other bottler so getting to try this dram is a fabulous experience I'm really looking forward to.
Oh wow for a young dram this really is tasty, citrus notes, tasty smoky seafood, and honey roast sweet vegetables. Lovely stuff that I now wish I had a bottle of, fabulous stuff.
If you get a chance to get a bottle of this anywhere, grab one.
Thanks to The Scotch Malt Whisky Society for the official sample.
Oh yummy smoky goodness here, it's smoked seafood, with a spike of acetone and toasting marshmallows, there's chewy toffee peanuts and earthy honey roast vegetables, parsnips and beetroot, toffee pennies and a hint of citrus fruit, lime and lemon peel.
Sweet, tangy and creamy, smoky seafood, honey roast vegetables and toffee pennies, this is fabulous stuff, is smoked seafood and honey roasted parsnips with huge citrus notes, easy to drink at over 60% abv
Tasty, sweet, smoky, yummy.
