Jeffersons The Manhattan Barrel Finished Cocktail

Jefferson’s The Manhattan Barrel Finished Cocktail Tasted as part of a Jeffersons Tweet Tasting hosted by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire, this Jeffersons The Manhattan Barrel Finished Cocktail was the second dram of the evening and the first time i've spent trying barrel aged manhattans.

This is an interesting dram/cocktail being a creation of Jefferson’s founder Trey Zoeller in partnership with David Granger, Editor-in-Chief of Esquire magazine US and contains Bourbon, Vermouth and Cherry bitters.

This really didnt do it for me at all, the bourbon influence i think was washed out by the cherry and it became quite sweet and liqueur like.

An interesting experiment but for me it didnt really work.

Woody, almost noses sugary liqueur sweet, sweet fruit peel oils, halls cherry soothers, creamy and buttery

Halls cherry soothers, like licking buttered scones with vanilla cream and a light cherry jam

The finish eucalyptus oil and bitter
