Glenturret Triple Wood Edition
Posted by Tom
Another from the new range of expressions from The Glenturret this triple wood edition has been matured in American oak ex-sherry, European oak ex-sherry and American oak ex-bourbon casks.
This is a very tasty dram, lots of chocolate in the palate, with chocolate and chilli and lots of orange and fruity tang, especially in the palate, this is really mouthwatering notes too.
This is a really nice dram, I prefer this to the sherry cask edition, as the bourbon cask and American oak sherry cask has added more soft vanilla to it. For the price this is well worth the money.
Thanks to The Glenturret for the official sample.
Light gentle oak and vanilla, fresh juicy melon balls and dried fruits, raisins and dried apricots, spiced vanilla Angel delight and lots of wood spice and light syrup.
Tangy spicy chocolate, like the Lindt chocolate and chilli bars, tangy clove infused orange peel, lots of fruity wood sap almost what you would expect from a pear or apple tree, very juicy and mouthwatering
Fresh mouthwatering and hints of spice.
