The first Scapa I've reviewed on the site, i tried a standard bottling of Scapa a while back but never really remember how it tasted, so it was exciting to try this.
I found it quite light and i really needed to make the effort to get anything from the nose, but when you do get something its light and fruity, the palate is lovely and sweet, lots of crushed almonds notes too, a pretty easy drinker.
Thanks to Scapa for the official sample
Fresh and sweet, light though takes a lot of getting your nose into the glass before you get anything out of it, sweet tropical fruits in light syrup, hints of pepper, some crushed sugared almonds and a touch of oak wood sap
Sweet tropical fruits in syrup, marzipan and Victoria sponge, there's a lot of sweetness and a lot of almonds loveliness, hints of a cherry bakewell.
Pepper and crushed sugared almonds
