SMWS 3.243 Dark Smouldering Flamenco Gypsy
This coming Friday (22nd May) The Scotch Malt Whisky Society will for the first time be attending the Islay Festival of Music and Whisky and are releasing a bottle specifically to commemorate this occasion in the 3.243 Dark Smouldering Flamenco Gypsy a 17 year old Islay dram.
This really is a cracker of a dram, with minerality, smoke, caramel, fruit and foam bananas, it's a very drinkable dram neat, and opens up really well with a teardrop of water. This is definitely a dram that will remind you of Islay.
This exclusive 17-year-old single cask bottling will be launched at the Garden Party at 1pm, with both members (£80) and non-members (£120) able to buy.
I'm planning again to get to over 100 The Scotch Malt Whisky Society reviews again in 2015 and this is no12 of that.
