Announced to a fanfare I've tried this a few times now and always been hesitant to write notes as i would be the first to admit it's not for me.
I can however see how giving it to inexpereinced whisky drinkers as an introduction to whisky or as a mixer base in cocktails that it would have it's place.
However for the price i don't think that will work and you would be better off with the Cameronbridge Single Grain from the same distillery but half the price.
Available to buy from specialists like The Whisky Exchange
The nose is light, it takes a real effort to get a lot from it, toffee pennies and caramel sauce are the strongest elements with hints of honey and foam bananas making up the rest
more of the toffee pennies sweets, light, fresh, grassy even, hints of brown bread and a touch of sweetened dessecated coconut
Light, gone, doesnt last long but theres a hint of caramel
