SMWS 125.58 A Picket Fence Round an Orchard
During a recent visit to the Queen Street venue of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society my wife bought a mini and a bottle to put away for my Christmas, the mini being this 125.58 A Picket Fence Round an Orchard .
She knows that distillery 125 is one of my favourites so it's always going to go down well in our house and i was chuffed to bits to get it today, this was an odd one as there was the traditional distillery character that i normally get but also a really oaky, woodyness that i liked a lot, a cracking dram and all 100ml now savoured and enjoyed.
If you are a whisky fan you really should consider joining The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
The name here is really appropriate with oak wood notes and spiced apples, the oak notes are quite dry and the apples like sweet royal gala apples with cloves piercing through making sharp Apple juices flow out through spices, hints of citrus fruit travel sweets and vanilla custard also
Sweet and sharp apples with pears in honey and a sprinkle of crumble topping with cinnamon, foam bananas and maple syrup with a hint of furniture polish
Sweet pears, sharp apples, cinnamon crumb topping and some hints of cherry bake well
