New Zealand Whisky Collection Single Cask 1990 (Cask 137)
This New Zealand Whisky Collection Single Cask 1990 (Cask 137) is hugely powerful, lots and lots of flavour in here but it really did need a splash or two of water to tame it.
Filled with fruity, oaky loveliness and worth seeking out to try.
You can pick up a bottle over at Master of Malt to try for yourself.
Many thanks to Erik (@thewhiskykiwi) the UK ambassador for sorting out samples of this New Zealand Whisky Collection dram.
well thats probably one of the most gentle assaults to the nostrils i've evver had, lots of fruity notes and vanilla creeping in with it'sstill soft and gentle and fruity but theres a beast hiding behind it, lots of prickle and tingle coming too
pear and melon come in first before the assault from the alcohol content takes over on first sip, then theres wood sap, oak and maple syrup, when the alcohol dies down (with a splash of water) a hint of fresh fruit salad creep in too
without water it's an assault, with water it goes very fruity
