GlenDronach Octarine 8 Year Old
A swapping of spare miniatures with my twitter friend Liam (@MiniMalts) resulted in me having a minature of this Glendronach Octarine 8 Year old.
I believe this was only ever originally for the French market but is seeing it's way around more and more countries in Europe now.
Young(ish) and openly so this is fruity and sweet but has a kick of spice that comes from the youthfullness but that adds a certain something to it.
A very interesting dram, thanks to Liam for sharing.
Sweet nectarine and peach fruit with sweet victoria plums and gentle oak woodiness to begin with followed by some hints of gentle rubbery notes with floral and fruit notes wirh hints of cinnamon and vanilla creap up in the background.
Sweet plums with hints of cinnamon and ginger before vanilla syrup and creme brule
Sweet plums and hints of cinnamon
