SMWS 129.1 A Smoky, Peachy, Yoghurt of Loveliness
The sixth dram of the night on the #SMWSblind at the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society in London organised by Joe McGirr (@smwslondon) and hosted by John McCheyne (@SMWSAmbassador) was this 129.1 A Smoky, Peachy, Yoghurt of Loveliness.
To get to try any of the .1 bottles is always a pleasure and when it's as lovely and surprising as this one it's even better, we all agreed it was of an older age and from other distilleries, a real pleaser this one.
Many thanks to Joe McGirr (@smwslondon) and John (@SMWSAmbassador) and to the The Scotch Malt Whisky Society for their kind hospitality and for some truely wonderful whiskies.
Starts off with an initial note of smoke, some earthy smoke and bbq smoke mixed then some engine oil comes in along with sweetness from a grassy outdoor field, it's a little mossy there also
lovely and sweet with lots of grass and moss and a hint of smoke
mossy, very mossy with sweetness
