Tam waits for no man...

Cutty Sark Tam Oshanter Cutty Sark Tam o' Shanter 25 year old is a very special bottling which takes its name from Robert Burns' masterpiece, the poem which inspired the naming of the Cutty Sark clipper and our whisky. Since it launched just over a year ago, Cutty Sark Tam o' Shanter has won two prestigious Gold Medals as well as an internationally coveted Trophy for its design.

Cutty Sark Tam o' Shanter is a specially created 25 year old blend, limited to 5,000 bottles, and is available at a recommended retail price of £199.

This magnificent limited edition project began back in Ayrshire, Robert Burns' heartland, with the chance discovery of a beautiful old book featuring the works of the Scottish artist Alexander Goudie. His obsessive dark imagery brought the story of Tam o' Shanter to life in all its gothic glory.

Cutty Sark Tam o' Shanter has brilliantly blended together Goudie's art, Burns' poetic story and our outstanding whisky with all the constituent elements working in harmony.

Bottled at full strength (46.5% ABV), Tam o' Shanter is rich, dark and shadowy in appearance. The nose has jasmine, anise and sandalwood followed by vanilla candle wax, rich fruitcake and honey cavorting with spices, orange zest, soft peak smoke and hints of tar. It is full-bodied and boisterous on the palate with notes of sherry, dark chocolate, toffee, eucalyptus and cracked black pepper, leading to a lingering, rich and sweet yet spicy finish.

Cutty Sark Tam o' Shanter is limited to 5,000 bottles and is proving very popular.
