Dalwhinnie Friends of Classic Malts Released

Dalwhinnie Diageo are delighted to bring you the last release in the current series of triple-matured Classic Malts; the magnificent Dalwhinnie.

Dalwhinnie, founded in 1898, is the highest distillery in Scotland. Pure water comes from a mountain loch while traditional worm tubs in the cold outside air cool the spirit to give a great concentration of flavour. The regular bottling is a smooth yet warming all-rounder with a fine heathery sweetness.

There are just a few thousand bottles of this new triple-matured Dalwhinnie available online to UK, German, Swiss Friends and at Dalwhinnie distillery. It has been matured three times, in a succession of classic distillery casks, ex-bodega casks, and refill European Oak. The result is a full-flavoured Dalwhinnie, in which the characteristic sweet floral notes of the regular bottling are richer, yet balanced by an appetising savoury spiciness. Our tip: it’s even better with a little water.

More good news for Friends. With each bottle of triple-matured Dalwhinnie we’ll include a complementary glass crafted to commemorate the release. This glass is only available when you order this Friends’ bottling.
