Aberlour Tweet Tasting
Another Tweet Tasting by Steve Rush (@thewhiskywire) from The Whisky Wire and another set of cracking whiskies.
This was a little while ago but I had a child related disaster part way through as my youngest decided it was an appropriate time to encouter the winter vomiting bug. However i have since caught up and went through these drams. The 18 is the standout for me and i will be picking one up very soon.
Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured
One that I have had before and I'm very keen on this lovely dram works well and I will happily have a bottle in my drinking cabinet, lots of typical sherried goodness in this dram.
Aailable to Buy from Master of Malt and other good whisky specialists

Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask Matured

Aberlour 18 Year Old
My favourite of the selection of Aberlour drams that we tried, with huge hits of tinned fruit salad and fresh fruit this really works well for me and has made it's way onto my need to buy list.
If it's on yours why not try Master Of Malt who will hopefully get some stock back in soon

|Finish||Sweet & syrupy.|
Aberlour a'bunadh Batch 45
This non age statement cask strength dram is on batch 45 and weighs in at an almight 60.2% ABV, it's a cracker of a dram and although i believe Batch 45 will have sold out in many places you can get batch 46 or later which will all have these wonderful sherried notes and be just as excellent on the bang for your buck scale.
|Bottle Name||Aberlour a'bunadh Batch 45|
I absolutely love the nose on this it's fresh prunes and fresh plums with dried fruits and touches of demerera sugar and some fruit cake with some fresh pine needles and sour dough

Aberlour 12 Year Old (Non Chill Filtered)
A fantastic new addition to the range which sees the 12 year old without the chill filtration and at a higher ABV.
Keep and eye out for this one and make sure you grab some to try.
